A beautiful sunrise this morning as we headed down to Miami. We just made our connection there and arrived early into Port-au-Prince. Then a three hour drive up the coast to Gonaives – we are so thankful for the safety God provided on our journey here today. We have had a hearty meal and we’re lookng forward to a good night’s rest.
The ministry here, Trinity Presbyterian Church, is celebrating their 9th anniversary this week! They have had special meetings every night since Wednesday, and tomorrow will be a long day of celebration, with a morning worship service followed by a meal and an evening service of singing. There is a lot of activity outside tonight, some women are ironing the sanctuary curtains, the teens are practicing their song for tomorrow night, and the ladies are preparing some of the food.
