Another early morning – Dale had to be at the school at 7:30 am to meet with the teachers to discuss some questions they had from the ‘Peacemakers’ he taught last weekend.

For the rest of the morning and until about 2:45, he and Carla, with Ellen translating, met with 9 teachers individually to give them their evaluations and encouragement.  I enjoyed being an observer as they prayed with each teacher and had productive discussions.

I took the opportunity to dip my toes in the pool which drew a handful of children who were at recess, and wanted to talk English to me through the fence.   I also stopped in to see the middle schoolers on their computers and the pre-schoolers having a meal of chicken tacos.

At the end of the school day, after all the children had left, the teachers had a little birthday celebration for Marian, one of the pre-school teachers.  At that little gathering they also took time to thank us for coming and honor us with gifts.  Carla and I received handmade purses and Dale some socks, a keychain and a pottery turtle.

By the time we left the school it had already been a long day, and we had not had more than a snack and birthday cake to eat since breakfast, so we treated Ellen and Elvira to dinner out at Texas Ribs.  On our way back to our car after dinner we finally got to see a beautiful Acapulco sunset.
