Today was a beautiful sunny day and a perfect sightseeing day. Bert and Cheryl took us to the funicular (cable car) which takes you up to the top of Monserrate. Monserrate is a hill that dominates the city center of Bogotá. It rises to 3,152 metres above sea level, where there is a church with a shrine, devoted to El Señor Caído.

I’m having trouble uploading the best of my photos because the photo files exceed 2MB, so I will share the ones I was able to upload. It was a beautiful vista if the city. We spent a couple hours on the mountain, had some coffee in a cute little cafe, and then went back down to an older part of the city where we ate lunch at ‘The Grey Cat’. After lunch we walked around browsing in shops and a tourist market.
